Phone Booth

Oi. I've been slackin' on the ol Blog. After Labor Day Weekend, due to a family emergency within the crew, production was suspended for two more weekends. The last one I spent at my moms, despite the fact I had to drive all night Friday and leave early Sunday. I did get to see my family and have a nice breakfast with friends at the local cafe...complete with the town creep starring at us every time we looked over. Seriously, this guy I was warned about when I worked at the 50's Diner (that is no more). He seriously looks like he stepped off of To Catch A Predator. Anyways, without posting a picture of him I can't really depict how creepy he is. It's not normal staring, it's more like "I'm eye molesting you and will dream about it tonight".

Last weekend we filmed again. It was wonderful seeing everyone, despite the waking up early part on the weekend. I did manage to squeeze in a little nap on set during breaks. The weather was nice and all was grand!

Anyways, awhile ago I mentioned this lady who used our office's lobby as her own personal chat room. The first time I assumed she was the wife of one of our new staff. The second time after I saw her leave one of the doors of the other business that takes up half of the bottom and half of our floor in our building I assumed maybe she didn't know, despite the huge logo of our own company behind us. She would just chat away and say "Oh I'm just taking a break". I would try to give her the look to imply this is the wrong place but she was too busy. As soon as she was done with the call she would hop up and leave.

Yesterday she comes in leaving a friend by the elevators that are right outside our door. She comes in, phone in hand, and asks if she can have a seat. I look at her with a raised brow. First off, it's distracting enough when people are talking loudly out by the elevators (which her co-workers do). Second, what would make anyone thing that this is appropriate? Politely, I shake my head and tell her that I'm sorry I'm working (I wanted to say you stupid cow this is a private business and if you can't make that call at your own office, perhaps you need to make it on your own time such as lunch). She scoffs, throws up her hands, and went something to the effect, "So you won't let me sit?" and she turns around and leaves. As she is doing so, she says to her friend, "Ya well I can't make my call now because she (sarcastically) is 'working'!" WTF? Seriously? Really? You are going to get mad because I didn't want you using our business for your personally lobby? There's a lobby for all of us to use right down on the first floor. Or are you afraid your boss will catch you and you know you aren't supposed to be making calls at work? Now I have to worry about running into her snotty ass in the shared bathroom.
