Who You Gonna Call?

So within the last week I went from 3 followers, to 5, and back to 3. I know I don't have many (I seem to have some people come back here and again without following), but I just find it odd they would add then delete within a few days. Obviously my blog format has not changed in that short period. I'm wondering if they were only hoping to spike their blog then quickly delete me. Or perhaps they were offended by Ted Kennedy and the Dalai Lama....or my love of gore in film. I definitely know my blog has been dull lately (if it was ever entertaining). The lack of me having time has been a factor. Like I've said before, there is so much I want to share but can't at the moment. We are so close to wrapping the film and hopefully soon I can plop down the trailer. So perhaps it was the lack of something personal to blog about, but this blog isn't going to ever be that type of blog. I don't like all of my life floating around on the web for everyone to see. Moving on...

Saturday we ended up filming until about 10:30 pm. As we were finishing up, we had some "ghostbusters" of sorts show up on set.

Let me rewind.

The first day I arrive on set (way back in May), there were two people still painting. One of them was this "odd" lady who seemed a bit tweaky,unfriendly and off. The type that comes across as suspicious of everyone and doesn't want to interact much other than asking random questions and refusing to make eye contact while she waits for an answer. Along with the other crew member (who is still working on set), she had stayed there all night painting. When others arrived, she showed us pictures of mist and orbs she had taken during the night. The other guy had is own pictures as well. She went on and on about all the shit that happened that night and was expressing how uneasy she was being there. The power had gone off in the middle of the night and although I doubt there was anything supernatural there, she should have been more worried about those monster spiders lurking around. That was the only time I saw her. She had left and never returned, leaving the others to finish the painting. They tried calling her a few times, but she would pick up (she has a very distinctive voice) and claim not to be her and hang up. She's not someone I would particularly trust to give me an honest and realistic story.

I'm not going to lie that it is a little odd that stuff goes missing and supposedly stuff moves around when no one is in the room, but I really do not believe in ghosts and I have a hard time believing we are haunted. There are some weird places around the set where the camera will just not work or fog (fake fog) will go around certain spots when it's filling every other space in the room. All of this can be explained by air movement, but I think when you start looking for something to happen your mind fills in the spots. It has become a long running joke that whenever we can't find something, the ghost took it. Regardless, it was enough to spark the interest of 3 different ghost hunting groups. The last group was the largest and had all the fancy cameras, readers, and such, sans a proton pack. That would have been sweet. One lady was a supposed psychic or something and said that some little girl had been killed around there. I have yet to experience anything that has made me a believer, but I would pretend if it would get me an interview with George Norry.

Anyways, it was a very busy weekend. I'm looking forward to having Friday thru Monday off to do absolutely nothing. The only thing on the agenda is to spend time with family and friends and get my hair done.

WARNING: No Sleep + That Time of the Month

First off, I would like to give a big ol F**K YOU TO SARAH PALIN!

(That was in reference to her comment about how the sick and elderly will be hurt by Obama's universal health care plan. Well you know what c*@t nugget? People are being hurt without it and I've known too many who can't afford to be healthy. But I guess they are just dirty heathens who deserve it, right? It's one way to disagree about the President's plan, but to act like everything is just find and dandy the way it is is just stupid and ignorant.)

Anyways, sorry about that. Her stupid ass comment just pissed me off to no end. She really needs to think before she opens that hole in her mouth, but I suppose that is too much to ask.

On another scary note, I ran into a monster spider on set that decided to attack me while I was innocently searching for paper to use for a blue screen. I let out a bloodcurdling scream and then had to navigate my way around the set to get to an open spot so I could shiver and check myself to make sure it didn't latch on. I hate to be one of those girls who freaks out and I usually am not, but when something that huge comes out of nowhere, it can get to anybody. After that all of us girls were a little on edge but THEN....WE SEE THE GODZILLA OF ALL SPIDERS ABOVE THE CRAFT SERVICES! The actresses and I backed away as far as we could go until the Photog was kind enough to take it down with a broom. Being the Seattlelites we are, we didn't want it killed but we wanted it hauled as far away from the set as we could get it so it wouldn't run back and strike revenge. This SOB was the size of my palm. NO LIE. It had these monster fangs and we are pretty sure it was about to grab the broom and go after us.




Ironically, the director was showing us this short before all hell broke lose. Needless to say, we are very careful where we are poking around on the set.

Space Filler

This past weekend was our first full weekend working on the film, and nothing is more hectic then getting use to 2 13+ hour days in a row after you've been on hiatus for awhile. We did a lot of SFX which I ABSOLUTELY LOVE. In truth, those days are the most stressful and things can get a little tiring and chaotic, but for me, these days are the highlights of filming.

I honestly don’t have any thrilling insight to post or interesting random story. I would love to talk about the film, but obviously cannot legally discuss more than what I already have....so.....I hope I can find something a little more thrilling to write about here in the near future.
